I wouldn’t normally ask this question here, but I am selling a Win. Mod. 94 14″ trapper and the fella wants me to take this as trade (plus $ of course) . it is a commercial Luger ,43/4″ bbl. in avg. cond. with a, get this, ser# 310. its all there and all legit. Any ideas who could tell me what this thing is worth. Henry

Hey Henry – I collect German Lugers. Like a Winchester, the value is informed by the condition, rarity, whether it’s all matching, and to which period it belongs (e.g., early commercial, WW1, Weimar period, WW2, etc.). If you have them, you can send me pictures to my personal email address [email protected] or post them here on the website.
There is also a Luger Forum hosted by noted Luger author Jan C Still. If you register and also post clear pictures, they can also provide you with a good value estimate. But they will do what I did first…ask for pictures. http://luger.gunboards.com/forum.php
