How do I date an original Winchester mold.  Are the earlier one made without handles, etc.  Patent dates.  What is a good reference source for Winchester bullet molds?  Thanks….I have several, some with wooden handles and some without.  What are the oldest.

 Wayne,

The best source on Winchester Loading Tools is a publication of the Winchester Arms Collectors Association written by the late Lewis Yearout. It’s about 26 pages of detailed information on all various loading tools Winchester made from 1874 to the early 1900’s.

It was printed maybe 25 years ago? I have a copy and so do most tool collectors. I wish it would be reprinted but do not know of a current source.

Metal handles came first. If you post pictures, I will or others on the Forum will respond. T/R
