I have a Winchester 120 year Centennial with a serial number WRA0446. Apparently, they made 1000 of these guns. As stated in most literature, the gun comes with a large loop lever

I also have a Winchester 120 year Centennial with a serial number WCX1411WC. This gun has a regular lever. These guns are embellished with gold highlights, exactly the same, except where the medallion is on the left side of the receiver on the Big Loop gun there is no medallion on the receiver of the gun with WCX prefix but instead there is a fancy gold WC which matches the last two letters in the serial number?

Can anyone tell me what the WCX prefix Gun is??

Thanks in advance for any help

There maybe a collector of Commemoratives that might know the answer to your questions. Most of us are more into the Pre-64 Winchesters.

I did find some information from an RIA auction listing. See listing link below.

I think Maverick nailed it with you’re large looped lever commemorative.

The other rifle seams to me, to be part of a Winchester Colt commemorative set, that was offered in a walnut wood case. Many of these wound up getting separated and sold individually. Mfg. in 1984, 4,440, (hence the .44-40 caliber of both),  pr-estimated mfg. total,(only 3,250 sets mfg.) Somewhere out there is a matching serial number Colt model 73 revolver, and a walnut wood case with medallions, as that’s the reason, no medallion was inlaid in the stock on this commemorative as many others had.(According to Tom Trolard’s commemorative book)

Not fool proof pictures, but valuable information, solidifying what you have.

At least this one can give you a better idea of what you have in comparison, to the pictures.
