Hello all, was wondering if anyone could confirm if this is a legit listing. I talked with the gentleman and he seemed nice, but was a bit difficult to understand and seemed a bit to’not wanting to talk’. I don’t know who the president was five year for the WACA,  but have a strong feeling that he may still be on here or someone may know him and be able to help. He said he has had it for about 5 years.

I would always rather be safe than sorry

thanks in advance

Sorry I deleted the original post because auto correct changed WACA TO WACO…..can’t have that now can I

Bill,

I suspect he is referring to Clarence Parks.  Did he provide the serial number for it?  $1,450 is an unusually low price for a Model 64 Deer Rifle, and there has been a lot of thieves trying to sell guns that they do not actually own on Armslist recent months.

Yes he did,2134564. He also sent about 24 photos of the gun. When he called I was expecting the usual talk about the rifle and other things, but it went straight to-‘ do you have an ffl?’, which is odd to me. The price also had me a tad Leary as well. I believe his na,e is Carlos, but as I stated he was very difficult to understand

Bill,

I have it listed in my research survey, which increases the odds that I got a look at it when Clarence owned it. That stated, the price and the lack of clear communication would have me on the cautious side.

Thanks Bert, that’s where I have been at, and probably stay. There is no way for me to confirm it’s legit unless I stumble on a lost relative who lives down there

That has been going on for a lot longer than ‘recent months.’ I have had 2 of my ads on GB hijacked and listed on Armslist. The most recent was 2 years ago.

Tell buddy to send the gun for inspection , at Your cost, and the cashier’s cheque is in the mail when You get a look at it. This works, sometimes.

I requested he take it to local shop…. but before he could reply I found the actual listing under the completed auction section on gun broker-picture for picture and word for word.
