Hello, I am new here and hope this question is in the right area. I am trying to identify what model stock I have. Please see the attached pictures, it appears to be a model 70 based on the grip etching but the lower cutouts don’t look right? Can anyone advise? Thanks in advance!
ADMINISTRATOR: I AM LOOKING TO ADD IMAGES TO THIS POST, BASED ON MY RESEARCH YOU NEED TO APPROVE ME TO DO THIS? PLEASE ADVISE AND IF THIS IS NOT ALLOWED SORRY TO WASTE YOUR TIME.
Rob,
As a “Guest” member on the WACA website, you do not have the requisite access permissions to upload and post pictures directly to the forums. We do this to prevent SPAM material from being posted. What you can do, is upload your pictures to a photo hosting website, and then post the URL to them in a message or reply here on the WACA website.

Hi Again,
I submitted a reply with a link but it did not appear on this thread? Rather than post it 2x I thought maybe it was awaiting approval?
This reply posted so I am adding more info: I did research this stock and I believe it is a Model 70 because the grip design is the same but the lower cutout is smaller and different. Can you help me identify this stock? Thanks in advance.
Here is the link again:

Hi Rob-
I am by no means familiar enough with post-63 Winchester Model 70 production to give you a definitive answer and dates, but ot appears to me to be a stock from a USRA-made Winchester Model 70A. At least the checkering pattern, receiver inletting, blind magazine, single stock reinforcing pin, and Winchester recoil pad seem to match (sorry about the small picture here):
Perhaps someone can be more specific??? Rob’s stock does not have a MC comb (like some 70A’s), and I cannot tell if it is inlet for a short or long action (looks standard but needs to be measured).
