Reminder for the WACA members who are also TGCA members (or would like to be!) it’s time to start thinking about the TGCA Fall Show! Once again we will be holding the show at the very comfortable Embassy Suites. I’m looking forward to seeing lots of WACA folks there, I promise we will be done with this triple-digit heat nonsense by then. My apologies for bringing it up to this year’s Cody Show, I honestly did not know it followed me up there!
As always we are planning on a first-class show, if I can help make your experience better please let me know! Hotel reservations need to be made soon, table reservations can be completed at the below link.

It’s a very well run show by a dedicated group of people & Mike! 😂. No, Mike really works hard for the club and is a great ambassador for them. The Southwest Airlines “pricing stars” aligned again last week and I get to go play again. Still need to find a good bbq place there though.

Thanks for the kind words, Ben. I’m proud to work with this bunch, Have been helping put on this show for several years, even before they railroaded me into a board position.
I’m gonna go old school on area BBQ, hard to beat Smokehouse in Lindsay but some say Dieter Brothers (a few hundred yards east) is better. Dieter Brothers has a great club sandwich and they are both famous for chicken fried steaks.

Bill vetoed by my CFO. Good idea, apparently this gathering will be BYOB in the tradition of the Cody gathering. Too bad the Smokehouse in Denton closed. Lindsay is a bit of a hike for out-of-town guests, even with free ice vending machine tours!

TGCA show in Denton, TX less than a month away! At Sunday’s board meeting we heard over 250 tables already sold with IIRC 65 display tables. The special room rate ends in a few days so make your reservations now for the best room rate. If you need a table don’t wait to download and send in your form or contact the show chairman. We’re hosting several members of the R-word club and a Japanese sword club and always have quite a few WACA members.

TGCA has a reserved section at the Embassy Suites happy hour Friday night with hors d’oeuvres, I’m usually too busy or worn out to make it but I hear it’s good. There’s a new restaurant where Hoolihan’s used to be, haven’t heard anything about them.
