I have not been able to locate a tang screw for a Model 1894 Winchester with a pistol grip. I have a Lyman tang peep on it right now and want to take it off and replace the rear tang sight screw with a large head replacement tang screw. Does anyone know of one. I have checked Amazon, Ebay and any other site that claims to have Winchester parts, but haven’t found anything…
thanks for any help…
I have purchased the longer screw required by the pistol grip 1894 rifles from eBay seller Apertures-N-More, who may not list them, but had them nevertheless. It’s worth asking him.

Looks like Winchester Bob has them in stock for $10 each. Not an original, but quality repros.

By large head do you mean the thicker one? Do you know the length?

Not thicker, but larger diameter to fill the screw head in the tang.

Pirkle says all Winchester stock bolts are the same head size diameter, 11/32″, but they come in different lengths. He says the bolt should be 1-47/64″. Plus or minus 1/32″. I’m not sure if a pistol grip would have a different length? My first reply I was thinking of the bolts for the tang site.
