Tom; how can that be true for the state of Massachusetts, I thought Their motto is “Live Free or Die”, but there’s still a lot of people runnin’ ’round alive over there. Surely They wouldn’t allow that kind of restrictive gun laws.

It’s in West Springfield, Mass….. not Springfield, Mo. 🙂
Oops, I was thinking about the wrong Springfield and I probably knew better. We even have a Springfield in Texas so there are a few to pick from. I’d like to go to Massachusetts again someday, lots of great historic sites to visit and ponder. I spent a few days in the area when I was 12 and as I study the industrial history of the area my interest has grown. If I ever get around to starting a bucket list this show will probably be on it.
How many tables do they generally have?

The only “Springfield” that I want to visit is the Springfield Armory National Historic site.
Quite honestly, Bert, I hadn’t gotten around to thinking about the Armory but it would certainly be a highlight of a trip including historic sites in tha area. I could probably spend a couple of weeks up there. Historic sites aren’t what they used to be. I touched the Liberty Bell when I was a youngster. I touched various objects at the Tower of London and historic sites in Rome and Germany, among others. Less than 20 years ago I was able to touch the monument at Greasy Grass. As Winchester collectors we touch history on a regular basis. I wish it was possible for people to experience history in the manner common not too many years ago but those days are gone. I’m not sure many youngsters would appreciate it,
I love a good road trip but I’d likely forego firearm sales and purchases and fly. I’m accustomed to packing an SUV or pickup but could probably learn to pack a suitcase and a carryon bag. If the Springfield Show isn’t too big I think I’d enjoy the trip….if I ever get my house put back together. Last two windows went in today, haven’t seen a mosquito all evening!

Sig Sauer HQ, factory, and Academy are all here in New Hampshire, which remains the outlier among New England states in being very 2A friendly and among the most free states in the Union, if not the freest, according to various recent analyses. Unfortunately, the horde of Blue state flatlanders moving here over the past few decades seem hell bent on killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. As the saying goes here, “we’re one election away from becoming a Vermont, or a Massachusetts…”
