What is a good way for someone to sell a small collection of vintage, mostly 19th Century, Winchester lever rifles, if he is never going to be comfortable playing the online auction game and does not go online at all?
If it is advisable for such a person to go with a dealer, which ones would members on here use?
Are you able to take & post photos? Or find someone who can do it for you? If so, listing them on this site would bring you the greatest return, compared to prices any dealer would offer, & the dealer would have to see them before making any offer. I can recommend one in eastern PA, if you’re in that area.

Thanks. They are not my rifles. I recognize that good prices for sellers and good guns for good people can result by selling on here, but it may be a stretch for the owner to be shipping rifles to various buyers. I know some people do that as a way of life.
Your suggestions are appreciated, and I will pass them on.

I HATE shipping, but the easiest way to do it is buy the cheapest hard case you can find, & add its price to the gun. What about buying a table at a gun show? The Big E show in Springfield used to be a favorite of mine 20 yrs ago (though a 5 hr drive for me!), & since it’s now degenerated into a black-rifle expo, anyone who brought legit collector guns would get a lot of attention.
