I’ve never been to the Reno show but would like to this year. Only problem is a friend wants me to hunt pheasant with him in the TX panhandle and my brother wants me to hunt with him in S TX that weekend. Since I don’t have much I want to sell and don’t want to buy much during my business start-up I’m thinking about flying to make a quicker trip of it. I’ve had my share of road trips this year and three days’ drive each way doesn’t appeal to me. OTOH I very much dislike the hassles of commercial aviation but admittedly I don’t do it often.
So…..who’s going? Why do you like this show?

Oops, thought it was first weekend in December for some reason. No conflicts now but not many bargain fares either. Any hints on a hotel close to the exhibit hall?
If Bert is not going then I am not either…..
In realty, the date change of the show created a conflict with a long standing work requirement so I won’t be able to attend this year. Hopefully they will move the dates back to the original weekend in the future or I may never be able to attend again.

More than just the guns, I really miss the Slots. Yep, I am a gambling man. Usually came out a winner. After the show, there are many places to see in Reno. It was a 500 mile drive for me from Cedar City, Utah, but worth it to get to see old friends and the great assortment of all types of guns. I ever did the November show as HWY 50 sometimes has lots of snow. I had a friend that lived in Sparks, about 7 miles from the show. We stayed there for 5 days and had a great time. He moved to Texas, where he died. Yes, the Big Reno Show is one of the better shows. Lou Fascio, puts it on and it has always been great no matter which show you did. Great for buyers and sellers alike. Big Larry
I’ve been going for the past 5 years, and there are some good guns there. The past several years it’s seemed to be dealer to dealer sales/trades with some good guns also available at lower prices, as has the market’s been over that period. I will be looking at some focused trades or a Sunday fire sale. I expect my guns to get low offers, a few of which I may take ( especially to a WACA member ).
If you followed the Julia auction the past few days, Winchesters took a huge hit in prices. As always, the special high condition gun holds it’s own.
Table 79-2 if anyone wants to stop by, and maybe coax a real good deal out of me !! As always, it’s fun to see old friends and meet some new ones too.

I guess I’ll have to skip Reno this year. 🙁 Things finally coming together (I hope) in my business endeavor and don’t need the distraction/interruption at this time.
