Interesting…..I haven’t been by there in quite a while…meant to over the holiday but never made it.
Inventory a bit low at the moment, buddy if mine made some nice scores early last month.

Finally evaluated my loading components today. With temps in teens and 20’s for last 3-4 days with a brief foray into the single digits I was having a hard time fighting off cabin fever. Community well went down overnight so the threat of frozen pipes was very real. I self-prescribed a few hours of gunroom inventory evaluation and almost went into shock. Poor choice of therapeutics! Price and availability of powder and primers is nuts! 20% or more of my bullets are obsolete. Some of my brass is worth more than I’m used to paying for loaded ammo.
If you’re like me and haven’t bought components recently don’t go looking around on the ‘net unless you’re ready for a shock. I’ll be posting an armed guard in my loading room when I turn in tonight and I’ll be sure to post a “No Smoking” sign.

When I went looking for powder recently, I almost fainted.
I can clearly remember paying $30 for a 50 round box of Remington 357 magnum jacketed hollow points in, i think ,1968, which convinced me a $5.00 Lee Loader was in my immediate future. It got better in time, until recently.
But I’ve never seen component prices like these.
I’ll tell you what, though. I’m making a list of the worst Daddy Warbucks sellers. Like the elephant, I remember who gave me peanuts and who put snuff up my trunk.

I’m gonna make the most of it, Bill. I’ll be able to shoot these components up like there’s no tomorrow for several years. I have enough Holy Black to make Al G nervous for a few hours. My heirs don’t know an anvil from a lube groove so my goal is to leave a pile of dirty guns and little else. If you need powder for your projects I probably have it.

After six months (!) my inventory is finally complete. I have a number that isn’t as crazy as I expected but more importantly, I have some new directions for upcoming reloading projects. I’ve also got a lot of shooting to do and N Texas weather over next few weeks will be pretty awesome for range trips.
