Don’t know about gun shops? I’m sure I looked but can’t remember. Don’t forget to go into the Museum. Very cool stuff in the Museum.
Thanks, Chuck. I’ve previously been to the museum at Fort Pitt and will be going again. I’ve been to Gettysburg, but did not go to the museum, so that’s definitely happening. The visitor center at Chickamauga has a HUGE gun collection in it thats very impressive.
There are quite a few small gunshops in the Pittsburgh area. But as far as old Winchesters go, it’s hit and miss. You might try Bullseye Firearms in New Alexandria, PA. https://bullseyegunvault.com/. It’s an old converted bank, not too far east of Pittsburgh. I’ve found a few nice ones there including my rare model 94, 14″ barrel 25-35 Trapper. We would stop there on our way back from taking our son to Penn State. Got lucky on that trip.
