Welcome to the asylum, good to have another member who suffers from the rimfire affliction. There’s no known cure but we’ll muddle through somehow. Any particular models you’re interested in?

I have several of the “Pump” models, a couple of the ’03’s & 63’s, and three of the Model 75; two Sporters, and one Target. I picked up a 75 Sporter a few weeks ago at the CGC Show up in Greeley.
Welcome PS, and I’m a newborn also. I lived and breathed 22lr up until about 2012, but to me here in Appalachian Mts, they’re called ‘Squirrel Rifles”! I hunted Squirrels religiously from about 1970 up until 2012. Shotguns and 22lr, but an iron sighted 22 was my passion! Funny, I’ve got a few old Winchester Centerfire and Shotguns, but I’ve never owned a Winchester 22 in my life, but about every other make. Always wanted a Mod 69 & 67 but just never came about!

Thank You! They’re out there. Half the fun is the search.
Welcome to our asylum, where the possessed come to mingle.

A hearty welcome from me as well. Remember, collecting interests can be expanded. I know. .22’s one day, .33’s the next.
Steve,
I am extremely disappointed with your lackluster reply! The fact that you failed to mention the .32 caliber is shocking!!
As for myself, I try to limit myself to the following; .22, .25, .284 (7 mm), .30, .32, .33, .35, .38, .40, .45, .50 calibers. My favorite caliber in my Single Shot rifles is .40 (I have five rifles in that caliber)

Understood. But I didn’t want to scare him away. Ease him in slowly. I thought of mentioning the .32 (Special) and along with the .33… but I held back… slow and steady wins the race

Ok, I believe that I have it figured out… you are the “wade slowly into the shallow end of the pool” type, whereas I am the “jump into the deep end of the pool feet first” type. Either way, you are going to get wet feet!

Good call, Steve. Those 32Spl folks are a bit odd, best not to scare off a new member by hanging out our dirty laundry. 😉

And if you’re a .32 Special guy, it’s not easy to hold back!
Not sure what you’re talking about, Steve.
All kidding aside, Private Smith. I’m fond of almost every cartridge I load. And I’m fond of the .22 because I don’t have to load them. Funny how center fire cartridges come and go but the 22 Short has been around for 167 years and will be here when we’re gone.

Private Smith, as should be apparent by now, the inmates are in charge of the asylum.
However, anyone with more than three (3) Winchester rimfire rifles obviously suffers from Winchester Collector Disease syndrome and we’ve been expecting you for some time.
While WCD syndrome is not painful or debilitating in itself, at least to the afflicted, be prudent and cautious about exposing any Significant Other to the inevitable symptoms.
For example, avoid discussions of the need for a larger gun safe, which can lead to questions about why you need one. If pressed, explain that future enhancement of her jewelry collection is a constant concern. Avoid specifics and don’t dwell on the subject.
However, you might want to explore the Theory of Counter-balancing Bling.
