Has anyone in WACA purchased and received one or more of these guns?  What was your experience like?

A friend has purchased but not received his rifle. Have you received yours?

Sorry, I know I’m repeating myself but has your friend received his Centennial ’73 yet?

Folks, when this program began, I ordered one of the high grades with serial number 73 for various reasons.  My invoice is dated in April of 2016 IF I recall correctly now.  I have yet to receive my rifle.  Early this year I was in contact with the new person at the BBCofW, who corresponded with Val Fogget direct.  Something I have yet to be able to accomplish.  That got no where.  I also contacted Winchester/Browning and got the assistant Winchester product manager.  I was told they had the rifles on hand and ready to ship whenever they obtained a prepaid order from Navy Arms.  I have tried multiple times this year subsequent to contacting Winchester to contact Navy Arms in my efforts to break loose this seeming log jam.  Navy Arms seems to be the log jam in my humble opinion.  Multiple calls to Navy Arms to either Lisa or Val have resulted in being told by the secretary/receptionist that they are out for various reasons.  A message is taken and as usual I am not called back.  There are much more details to this story on my part as I began keeping memoranda for record of the dates and times and names in my efforts of the last several years to get such rifle.  Currently the story is that mine is the second one in the next batch to be engraved and color hardened, but they can’t get Winchester to ship.  That has been the story for about 18 months now, and does not match what I was told by Winchester, to say the least.  I reached the conclusion some months ago this is a dead end for whatever reason.  I firmly suspect payment has a lot to do with it.  If anyone else has a rifle yet to be delivered, the best I can suggest is to continue trying to contact Navy Arms, or to contact BBCofW in hopes the combined weight may break loose funding and get this program off and running again.  I seem to have run out of options on my part.  I guess I am out the deposit paid years ago.  TimCry

I’m curious as to how much the deposit was?

I’d think some people’s/organization’s reputations are on the line.  You know, for honor and such.

Finally, I’m also curious as to the gun and what it was supposed to look like?  Sounds like a beauty. Any links to a picture?

I’ll check but I don’t believe so. Last time he checked I think they told him the engraver was behind. After reading Tim’s post I have my doubts. I’ll let you know what they tell him.

ETA: He’s pretty much given up on ever seeing his rifle, he’s tried to reach everyone involved and no one will talk with him about it.
