The weather is too wet to go shoot gophers, so I went upstairs to the gun room and took pictures of guns in different categories.

Any gophers in my yard today would need scuba gear. Shrapnel–I really like the model 1873 deluxe rifle! Nice grouping all together, even if it doesn’t have one of Bert’s babies. Offer to baby sit for him?? Tim

Nope, I have a real nice and rare original high wall in 25-35 with double set triggers, shotgun butt, heavy barrel , sling studs and it’s a takedown on top of all that…

Shrapnel, I do remember when you got your highwall in .25-35. Seems to me you submitted photos of some gophers you shot with it soon after getting it? But I meant to baby sit Bert’s single shot in .38-40 to go with the ones you pictured. You do have some wonderful eye candy, as Mike would say! Tim

This past winter I developed and loaded some special “Gopher” loads for my 38 WCF Single Shot rifle… a 180-gr Hornady XTP bullet sitting on top of 22-grains of A2400 powder.
