In Utah someone created special Winchester in 1997 for the “Days of 47” celebration of 150th anniversary of the pioneers coming into the Salt Lake valley.
I’m trying to find out who made them. It’s a mystery. Obviously Winchester made the rifles, but someone gold plated them and put extensive engraving on them. I don’t think these were done by Winchester, but I could be wrong.
There are two versions: One chambered in 30-30 of which 47 were made, and one chambered in .45 colt of which 97 were made.
Here are the specs on the .45. The links to the 30-30 are gone, probably because I purchased it.
Winchester 94 AE chambered in .45 Colt Ctg. was laser engraved and gold plated to commemorate the 150 anniversary of the Mormon Trail. It is carbine number 71 of 97 produced of this style. Manufactured in 1997.

If anyone has any info that would be awesome! Cabelas or Bass Pro has no clue, they just bought them from the owners and resold them.
