I have a small collection of Winchester molds and reloading tools that compliment the rifles I collect. Included are a few .45-75 WCF molds. Nominal bullet weight for this cartridge was 350 grains. Please see the two molds below. Both are marked .45-75. The higher condition mold (top one in the photo) matches others in my collection for this caliber.
The lower condition mold drops a 400 grain flat point bullet. I believe it would have been intended for a Model 1886 or Marlin Model 1881 in .45-70. I think it may have been mismarked. See the mold chamber photo.
Have you seen other mismarked molds?
I call myself a collector as it sounds better than hoarder

I do believe that you are correct and that the mold on the right was incorrectly stamped with the wrong caliber stamp. I believe it is as you say and should be marked as the “45-70 F.P.” for 45 Gov. Flat Point as to be used in the Model 1886 Rifle.
