I posted about a 1949 model 94 i traded for but found out its a 1946, Does anyone have a Pre 48 buttstock in good condition without repairs?

Unfortunately, what you need is going to be quite difficult to find. The style of butt stock you need was only in production from December 1945 to December 1947. The vast majority of collectors & dealers are unaware of what you need.

So is it safe to say that flat band butt stocks are different? Also, what is the difference? Could a guy buy an unfinished 80% stock and make it work?

Yes, they are, and there were two types. The first for the Type-2 receiver frames, and the second for the Type-3 receiver frames. I discussed these changes in my two-part article.
