John, You must remember were living in the New Age, when clearly-understandable words have been superseded by arbitrary symbols that mean nothing to anyone except the New Ager who dreamed them up, such as the meaningless symbols that have replaced words like “gas” or “oil” in the instrument panels of new cars. So to edit, look for that strange symbol on the right side of the page that looks something like a stick or a post; much more Kool than the word “edit.’
Clarence,
You got that right, You get in someone else’s car and you have to spend 10 minutes trying to find the light switch or how to start it.

That “stick” you refer to is actually a pencil with an eraser on the end of it, but in general, I agree with you about the modern use of icons and emojis that have replaced plain simple to understand words. This forum is inhabited by Oldtimers (dinosaurs), and change is often not well received… unfortunately, we do not have much choice.

I figured out what it’s supposed to represent, but I wonder how many New Agers ever used one. People who resent having manifestly bad ideas shoved down their throats by the elites aren’t “fighting change,” they’re fighting stupidity, though I admit that’s a lost cause in our wonderful multi-cultural mobocracy.
I know about the pencil as an editing tool, but I don’t see any here on this site. I see the toolset icon, which allowed me to edit one time in the original post above, but now it only allows “delete” the post. Have any of you edited a post and How was it done?
I just edited this post using the toolset, but I bet in a short time it won’t let me do it again.

John,
The “edit” icon is inside of the same ribbon bar as the “Toolset” icon, but is on the far right side of the page next to the “quote” icon.

I clicked that and all I got was edit history. It’s been 13 minutes since I was able to edit with the toolset, now it’s turned off and I only get the “delete ” option.
I suggest that you log off of the WACA website, and then log back in. There is no reason why the “edit” pencil should not work.

I get 2 different versions of the reply to a post. In the first one I get the edit post on the right top and it takes me directly to the edit page and I also get the tool set option on the top left.
Then if I hit the back button I get another version where I only have tool set option. If I reload the page I get back to the first version. The edits work for me.
The only thing I would change is separate the “Submit Reply” and the “Add Reply” buttons. Right now the are right next to each other.
