Is there a favorite hotel or accommodations for the Cody show? And how soon should a reservation be made? Also, I wanted to secure a ticket to the banquet Saturday night, but the “contact WACA’” link on the show page doesn’t show an area to u=input a question. Who would be a good contact to call and ask for a seat? Thx!
Matt,
Contact Heather Martin for the Banquet ticket.
As for accommodations in Cody, the sooner you reserve a room the better. A simple Google search for Cody hotels will give you a list of them. Some like to stay at the Irma Hotel as it was Buffalo Bill’s hangout.

Cody tourism had a bad year last year, lots of motels at about 30% during our show. I guess they’re trying to cover their losses. $300/night will be tough to swallow.

You ain’t got no sleeping bag?
I have an excellent tent, cot, pad AND sleeping bag. I’m pretty big on comfort these days and the gear it takes to reach that threshold simply won’t fit in my present mode of transportation. I may be able to buy a pickup reasonable before then. My tent would almost fit under those trees outside Riley, reckon anyone would mind?

Booked at the Irma Hotel today and excited about it. Looks like an incredible piece of history and close to the everything. It’s hard to leave Alaska in the summer but I’m sure looking forward to it!
I can understand… I spent many a day & night out on Burma landing (before they paved the road)… hearing the scream of the reel, the yank of the rod and a King salmon on the line…. oh, how I miss those days. This will be my first time at Cody and I’m looking forward to the adventure there too.

I have enjoyed my stays at the Irma. If you booked a room in the historic section you’re in for a treat but the “modern” section is nice as well. Make sure you have at least one meal there. The prime rib is quite good but the buffet is more than I can enjoy. Breakfast is wonderful, the Farmer Brothers coffee is second to none…unless you’re a Starbucks fan.

Finally heard back from Green Gables, reservation confirmed! Was getting a little worried. Texas boy has to stay at a motel with a name like Green Gables-but I like the Irma too. I’ve enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Sunrise (nice walk to Cody Museum or Riley Center) but I enjoy supporting small business when I can.
Don’t forget, TGCA Show in Waco two weeks from this weekend. Celebrating our Texas Rangers’ Bicentennial. My table will be near the TGCA SWAG table (I help cover it) and I’ll have a chair for you to rest a spell.
