What book regarding the subject line rifles would be recommended by anyone ?

I have “Winchester Engraving” by R.L. Wilson that covers early Jennings and Volcanics to modern engraving.

Thanks for the information. I wasn’t sure Wilson’s went back that far, and haven’t run across any specific Henry books.

If you are looking for a reference book that will tell you which specific Henry Rifles were factory engraved or inscribed, you are barking up the wrong tree. R.L. Wilson’s books should be viewed with a health dose of salt. Two additional book cover the Henry;

“The Historic Henry Rifle” by Wiley Sword
“The Story of Benjamin Tyler Henry and His Famed Repeating Rifle” by Les Quick

Thanks, I do have those books, but not the “Winchester Engraving” that Bob noted. ( pricey !! ).
