Hello all, wondered if anyone could help me ID this one?

Musket & carbine plates had that re-curved toe, but don’t know if there were different sizes for each model.

The only marking I can find is the number “18” stamped on the inside as the photo shows. 

Not sure what make this would be……Winchester, Marlin, Springfield??

That looks like a Winchester 1886 rifle butt plate without checking dimensions.

I too believe that it is a Winchester Model 1886 (early production) butt plate.  The Model 1876 butt plates were nearly identical… but they all had trap doors in them.
