Hello I have a Winchester 1894 based on the research that I’ve done the markings on it put it as a 1930s or earlier gun. The problem I’m running into is the serial number which is GS124. I contacted Winchester they said they don’t have any information on that serial number the only thing they could think of being a golden spike model but it does not have any of the markings of a golden spike. Any help would be appreciated I can also send photos if that will help as well I just would like to know the year.
Serial number “GS124” positively identifies it as a Golden Spike commemorative receiver frame, manufactured in late 1968.

It is older. Based on the markings on the barrel and the other features (the butt stock & butt plate style), you Model 94 is a standard Carbine that was manufactured sometime between July 1936 to August 1942. The S/N stamped on the receiver is not factory original.
