OfflineThat’s a good question, I’ve asked 3 different legal folks and got 3 different answers, antique/, functioning part?, type of firearm?, etc. It’s sure as hell no problem in Canada to import them.

OfflineI thought there might be a simple answer. I have someone in Great Britain interested in a carbine sight and it never entered my mind about customs and other government red tape. Definitely did not give it much thought. I better stick to Maine and Florida on one side and Hawaii on the other. Thanks for opening my eyes. Roger B

Packages sent to foreign countries always go through customs, so customs duties can be charged the buyer; why you fill out a declared value on the shipping label. I’ve sold gun parts to Europe (labeled machine parts) & a scope to Japan. One problem however is that insurance isn’t available, so the buyer has to understand it’s HIS risk is the item is lost or damaged.
