Heard a rumor yesterday that the Ca. governor’s family purchased John Fox’s place near Stevensville, Mt. Rick have you heard anything about this? His wife does own a ranch in Stevensville but I don’t think it was John’s?

Oh Lord, I hope not. His house was sold over a year ago, but Joan told me the next door neighbor bought it. They had been neighbors for a long time, but I never met them and she didn’t mentioned the buyers name. I talk to her quite often, so I’ll ask next time.

Did some research within the past hour and the rumor is true, but in a very twisted way. Too complicated to fully explain who all is involved. Mrs. Newsom’s family ties, have over 200 acres along the Bitterroot River. Sounds like they also have ties to Huey Lewis who has had property in the same area for many years.

Reminds me a little of Ted Turner’s real estate adventures in New Mexico and other areas. I’m glad Turner had a change of heart, have no similar expectations of Newsom.

Newsom had gotten some heat during the pandemic for his trips to Montana. You know the “don’t do as I do but do what I tell you”. The Bitterroot Springs Ranch is owned by Ken and Judy Siebel, the parents of Newsom’s wife Jennifer. This is where they were married in 2008.

From what I hear his ex-wife had a big influence on his decisions. From what I hear he doesn’t lean as far left as he did when he was married to Jane Fonda.
