Over on the Colt forum, a member posted a Winchester rifle that is clearly not an antique in the Want to Sell section.  I pointed this out and another member demonstrated his rifle was an antique, but typing in the serial number on this site reveals a 1901 production date.  I wanted to point out the “new” cutoff for antique production, and, unless I am missing it, the EXACT serial number for antique vs non antique is not readily accessible on this site.

Bert, can we create a question in the FAQ section entitled “Is my Winchester an antique?” and detail that an antique must be pre ’99 and then detail the last serial number for ALL early models and use the data available on this site?  Especially since there is so much confusion here and this topic comes up so frequently.
