Ahhhh .45 ACP, better and faster than Google translate.
One of the good things to come out of the Browning/Bennett falling-out. Impressive impact in more ways than one.

Mike –Glad to hear things are starting to smooth out. Last year, I very badly sprained an ankle – wow did that foul my life up. I can’t imagine having it happen while going though something like what you’ve had going
Actually it’s forcing me to get away and off my feet after a few hours. Plenty of admin stuff and guvmint paperwork to do in my office.

Good steps towards your recovery. And indeed you should sleep better. Tim
Went to a local winery to see my friend Dave Alexander play. Dave’s wife Sherri introduced me as a hero and led everyone in a toast. Very embarrassing. I love small towns! Best time I’ve had in awhile, Dave toured with everyone from Frank Sinatra to Willie Nelson.

Car total loss, bought another today. Wasn’t able to get a blue one this time but other than that it’s pretty awesome! No need to watch for an old fat homeless guy pulling a wagon up I-25 after all. Plenty of room to haul stuff to gun shows and the range…..if I ever get my house back together! I’d forgotten how hard it is to hire good contractors.
No, Bert, I didn’t buy a Dodge!

You should have taken Spanish in HS.
You’re right. Many subs hire independent crews. It’s amazing to watch these guys on a steep roof! I used to be able to stumble through simple misdemeanor arrest reports and still know a few key phrases but last formal Spanish class was in grade school about 50 years ago.

I feel your pain. Higher Authority has announced we are having the interior of the house painted, new kitchen counter tops, new bathroom vanities, new floors, and a partridge in a pear tree.
If you know of a Chickasaw medicine man skilled at making rain, ask him for me if he can summon a tornado. A selective one.

Esp now that every crook who can borrow or steal a hammer is flocking in to capitalize on the tornado destruction, have plenty of this at your disposal:

Some of the benefits of being an active Chamber of Commerce member is being able to use contractors who are members and acquaintances or referred by other members. The heavy duty wrecker company owner who repositioned my shipping container is someone I’ve worked with on other projects when I was selling truck parts. The major contractor I hope to hire knows many of my friends and as a local volunteer firefighter was one of the first emergency personnel on the scene after the tornado. I’ve also worked with the house mover who’s leveling my home on some smaller projects when I was selling truck parts. I’ve been doing business with the wrecker company who towed my car for over 45 years. Roofing company has done my roof twice, floor company has worked for me on two other projects. Dealer I bought my car from yesterday sold me the last one and serviced my previous car and truck. Service manager is a friend. I won’t be doing business with many strangers.
That’s why I’ll have no qualms about blowing out of here in a couple of weeks to hang out with some Winchester collectors!

They don’t make a car quite like the one I had any more. I found a 2022 Explorer XLT with 6500 miles on it at the dealer that has serviced my last three vehicles. The internet listing was a bit ambiguous but I snagged it before anyone figured it out. It has all the right features including a factory delete of the troublesome auto stop/start. Not as fancy as my Edge but a better fit and hopefully even more comfortable. Lots more room for guns! As Jeremy has noted it’s Blue, but only because I named it Blue. I wanted a blue car but this one was a much better deal than the only blue Explorer I found and the rental runs out tomorrow. My brother wants to call it Blew but it’s still a bit early for that. Not gonna rush out and watch “Twisters” anytime soon, either. Still waiting to get paid for my totaled car but I’m still too crippled up to be walking much, thank goodness for healthy checking accounts! It’s a nice stealthy gray which is probably a good thing because it’s pretty quick.
I wish I could justify a diesel pickup, Bert. Actually would like a gas pickup. An SUV works better for my business and traveling to shows. Very comfortable and good fuel mileage.
Still packing up my loading room, have found lots of stuff I’d forgotten about. Don’t tell Zebulon but I found another bag of 35 Rem brass! I hope I live long enough to wear out all the 35 Whelen brass I found but personally I’d bet the other way. 😂
I bagged up the 38-55 bullets and brass on my loading and casting benches. it may be a few months before I set get my loading room set up again but I’m still excited about that project. Loading room windows were destroyed and the tornado sprayed the entire room with glass, grass and insulation. Going to pull out the shelves and work benches to replace the carpet with vinyl and and of course the windows. Amazing how many little pieces of glass you can get out of a couple windows!

Nice, those are decent cars, should do well for you….someone never drove that thing! I’m still picking up glass from my flowerbeds from March 2023 so I know how it feels.
