Well I just got home from a 3 week gun show and motorcycling vacation. The high lite of which was the Cody show, the best show I’ve been to in a long while, I even managed to set up a table with My 2 guns (Henry and deluxe ’73) they both sold or traded and I left with 4 nice guns, the only extra heavy bbl. mod. ’94 made, a beautiful deluxe ’94 with a matted 1/2 oct. bbl., a’94/ 95 variant in pristine cond. and a really nice’66 s.r.c. Let me tell ya I am one happy camper. My hat goes off to Vinny and all the folks who put the show together and to Jessie and the crew from the museum, what an incredible job You all do to put this all together and make everyone feel so welcome. It was nice to visit with some of My old “gun” buddies and make some new friends like John, Max and Aussie Steve. I think overall I’ve never run into a nicer bunch of people. Brenda and I had a wonderful time and We so enjoyed riding the mountains, I put 3000 miles on the bike from Cody to Billings ,Yellowstone , Denver and Durango Co. etc. Beautiful country and what a place to live, no wonder everyone is in such great spirits out there. Any ways thanks again for Your efforts and hospitality, I’LL BE BACK.

What was the name of the shop, we’ll be driving through there in September and if it’s worth it I’ll stopthanks
Hi Bill: It’s “Frontier Gallery, LLC”. 208 S. Mason St. Nice shop with lots of old stuff and some clones of old stuff for thems of us what’n cain’t afford the high end. It’s not all Colt’s and Winchesters though. They have old ammo and other brands of weapons, including muzzle loaders. I don’t recall any black plastic, which was nice.
Henry – it appears you are getting better at posting photos. You will improve even more if you practice. How about posting some photos of the 66 SRC you picked up in Cody for the rest of us to drool over. The 1866 carbine is one of my favorites and certainly hard to find with condition.

Huck, thanks for that shop name, we stopped and spent some time in there.lots of cool old stuff and the owner was nice to talk to. Definitely worth the stop
You bet.
There’s another place I like. While they do sell guns, they don’t have much, if anything, in the way of antique Winchesters for sale. Their antique Winchesters are strategically laying around, getting dusty, amid hides, antlers, skulls and other antiques. It’s called “Traders Rendezvous”, over the hill from me in Gunnison. I recommend anyone in the area drop in to browse. It would make an awesome man cave.
