It’s only March, is it too early to ask who’s coming to Cody? What are you bringing? Any exciting displays? I missed some of y’all last year, if you drop by to aggravate or quiz Bert please wake me up so we can visit. I struggle to associate names and faces, I’m trying to get better. I meet so many great people at that show and the museum I can’t imagine not making it to Cody each July. Looking forward to meeting more of you and seeing the folks I’ve met in years past.
I’m probably not bringing much to sell but I may bring some eye candy.
Mike
Last year was my first time. Now, I wouldn’t miss it… I’m expanding to 4 tables and will be bringing more parts, pieces & sporting collectibles.
Can you spot JWA (aka Jeff Abendshien)? How about Mark Yecha? Is that Rob Kassab? Three great guys with lots of knowledge! You should see them and many others in Cody next July. 🙂

I can’t see any of them, my eyes are drawn to that really cool ’73 sign post!

Will be there for sure. This will by our 26th consecutive Cody show! I’ve sold most of my Winchesters and have made the decision to start parting ways with my U.S martially marked collection. I have 70 odd pieces in the highest condition that I could find/afford ranging from the first U.S. rifle (1776 model Springfield musket) to the 1945 Winchester WIN-13 Garand. Lots of Indian wars Springfields including an 1870 .50 caliber carbine (only 351 produced) and an all correct 1873 Custer era carbine with battlefield damaged stock and Indian rawhide repair. Lots of nice Civil war specimens.

I plan to be there too. Right across from you. JK Olson and Jay Brown have a couple of the tables Doug Beneck used to have. Walt Hallstien and later Carol Watson shared these tables with Doug. Walt and Doug are both gone and Carol has not been to Cody in awhile.

Yessir, will be there and excited. Looking forward to meeting many more folks than only the 2 or 3 I’ve met in person….
Jeremy-
Several of the folks at Scott’s Durant show last month are WACA members and I’m looking forward to seeing many of them again at the TGCA show in Waco next month as well as in July in Cody. Reminds me of when I was shooting; drove thousands of miles to matches in a half-dozen states to shoot against the same bunch of great people!

Looking forward to Waco too, although it will be a day trip and won’t have the Wyoming scenery!

The river that runs by the Hilton is beautiful, they dedicated the new bridge the weekend of our spring show last year. Too bad it’s a day trip for you. There’s an exceptional Mexican food restaurant a short walk from the convention center. But no, there’s nothing like the scenery of Wyoming.

I know many of you are in Greeley, hope you’re having a great show! Heard from my motel in Cody this weekend, rooms are filling up quicker than he’s ever seen. If you don’t have lodging reservations for the Cody Show it may be a good idea to make them very soon!
See you in Cody, safe travels!
Mike
I’m in. Higher Authority already got us hotel reservations. Raffle tickets are on my desk, awaiting a check. Saw and handled examples of the two prizes at NRA yesterday. Buying 20 tickets. Strike while you’re hot….like Benny says.

We’re booked at the Irma for 2 nights. Plan to attend WACA meeting and meet & greet after and hopefully banquet Saturday evening. Looking forward to meeting as many forum members here as possible.
Looking forward to seeing you, Rick. I’ve enjoyed my stays at the Irma. If you haven’t spent time at the CFM I hope you’ll find time to do so.
