OfflineI’m waiting for a cousin to get back with me as to whether or not he knows him. He grew up in Nacogdoches like a whole passel of our people has done since the 1850s. One note about Nacogdoches (pronounced as Naka-doches with the “g” being silent) is that it is the oldest town in Texas.

Thanks Bert. He helped me locate the owner of the 1887 I bought years back. You may be right about the other websites. Do you remember the saying he would end his posts with? Had something to do with Nacogdoches? Â
The Gunboards forum shows that he was active as of 6-17-2019… so it appears that he is still kicking.

OfflineThere are a number of people named Clyde W. Howard in Texas in census data and the SSDI. One died in Dallas in February of 2005 – he was in his 80s. Another Clyde W. Howard does appear in Nacogdoches directories during the late and early 1990 – 2000 period, with another reference showing that name in 2006. Â

Thanks all. I am sure the Clyde I am talking about died in 2005. I was just hoping someone remembered the saying he used to end his posts. Â
Chuck,
I do not believe you are correct. Based on what I found on Gunboards.com, Clyde has been an active member for many years (and still is). You need to go register and then post a question for him.
