Just got home from the Calgary show, very successful, quite a few nice Winchesters showed up and some great people. A couple of thousand miles out there in a snow storm with road closures and big rig wrecks on the Trans Canada Hwy., but We got there in one piece and had a wonderful time. We got invited to spend some time , this summer, on a ranch in the Rockies, hunting and fishing and stuff. We may just ride the bike out and take Rick up on that offer , then carry on down to the Cody show. That’s a lot of “bikin'” for an old guy though.

Talked to a friend yesterday. He said it took 4 hours to get through customs coming home from the show. His friends had bought some antique rifles and the agent at the border ran each of them through the system before they were allowed to cross. He said he had fun at the show.
Yup I just wish somebody would tke an eraser and do away with that damned line on a map called the “border”. I used to take a trunk load of guns back and forth to shows both sides with no issues, it’s not like I’m transporting some assasins shooting material here, but as soon as You mention “guns”, every border guards ears perk up and They’re all” experts”, just ask ’em.
