OfflineMy buddy and I had a good time at the show yesterday. It’s a large show and it is easy to get into overstimulation mode. I had a chance to see and hold several non-Winchester firearms that I have interest in (Sharps Borchardt sporting rifle, Peabody and a Burgess shotgun).
Collectors Firearms had a very nice 1883 Winchester Hotchkiss military rifle that I got to look at up close and personal. Winchesters were well represented but, I don’t have the expertise to determine originality.
I practiced self-control and didn’t make any purchases. I will be attending next year.

OnlineI talked with my friend that went to Baltimore. He sold everything he took. Usually he takes about 10 guns and other Military Civil War/Indian Wars era items. If the right person shows up, good stuff at reasonable prices will sell. I’m sure over the last 40 years and hundreds of gun shows he has had his share of bad shows. They all have these shows.
