The Tulsa show was about the same as the last show in size and attendance. Friday setup attendance was light but Saturday it filled up to normal size. Most of the Winchester guys made it, no shortage of guns. Cody was open to check records and it saved me from buying a gun that didn’t letter. It sure looked right but didn’t match the ledger. Saw two 1 of 1000s, one 76 and one 73, both on the table waiting for a buyers. Had a great time! T/R
Agree with Tom, the show was about the norm for the November show as far as attendance is concerned. Wasnt happy to see some of the new booths with non-collectible stuff and tables with black gun stuff, or just junk in general but there were plenty of guns and collectible items to be found. Got a lesson in Civil War era cavalry swords (and how not to get screwed on one if you dont know what your doing – ha ha) and learned you can make quite handsome knife scales out of an armadillo shell.
Left two guns with new owners at the show. As for guns, I didnt see anything that needed to come home with me at a price point I was willing to pay. I did bring home an early Marbles hunting knife with stag and 8″ blade, one of the better ones Ive seen in a while. Had been wanting one for a long time.
