Hi there. I just recently picked up this Winchester Model 1894 in 25-35.  I believe it was manufactured in 1897 as the serial number is 129,xxx. I’m hoping someone could tell me more about it and possibly a value as I am looking in selling it.
Here is a google album with photos of the gun.

Matt,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your Model 1894 is not an “antique”.  Serial number 129000 was manufactured in October 1901.

As with all of the Model 1894s manufactured for the 25-35 WCF cartridge, the bore condition is critical to the value… most of them are inexplicably found with poor bores.

Your photo link is not working.

Hi Bert,

That’s alright! I’m just happy to know more about it. I’ll try to add some photos below. The bore appears to be strong.

Your Model 1894 Sporting Rifle is in well worn condition, but appears to be original (minus the rear sight elevator).  Based on what I can see of it, it has an approximate value of $1,600 – $1,800 depending on the bore.
