How many WACA members out there are under age of 50 ? A previous thread about why members collect struck me that most respondents are from the 1950’s and 1960’s

Thanks Steve. I’m glad to be here. My dad is a lifelong Winchester collector and I blame him for this obsession. He turns 87 next week and we go to every gun show that comes our way. I don’t share the same appeal for black plastic like the younger generations. Every old Winchester is a hand-crafted work of art and the thrill of the hunt for the next one is like a drug that won’t let me go. Winchesters are my drug of choice…

Like Mike, I am a 1960 vintage Winchester collector, and I will be 61 years old on the 12th of August. I suspect that we have several other members here who were born in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

Hahah, young yes. Old soul at heart though. My wife laughs at me because most of my “friends” that i’ve met through collecting are nearly twice my age. I tell her they tell the best stories!
Add another 1960 vintage, I’ll be 61 on the 21st of August.
My Jr. who just turned 36 is up to about a dozen old Winchesters, really glad he found an interest in them……..

I’ll be 64 in less than a month. I used to be alot younger.
I got my fist Winchester when I was nine. I still have it.
I bought my first Winchester (1894 rifle .38-55) in 1963 when I was 19………lemme see…… that makes me…….77.
Still have the gun BTW
