Nice 99EG. Savage came out with some great calibers and had a good run with the 22HP, 250-3000 and 300 all coming out within a few years of each other. Lots of deer taken around here with 1940s and 50s 99EGs. Most of them have some wear. That one looks like new. I’d like to find a very early original 99 in .300 someday myself, probably a G.
I suppose this will be my last post since I’ll be kicked out of WACA for infecting the forum with Savage…..

Yes, I believe at this point you may be pushing your luck…….its been good knowing you. You might as well just hand over all your Winchesters to me and walk away in shame with your tail between your legs.

I can still log in! Gary I think the only cure for me would be to buy a Browning marked 38-55 1894 in nice original condition relatively cheap…

You boys ought to pick up some Ruger side-arms to go along with those fancy Savages!!!!!
Thems fightin’ words…
I’ve waited long enough and can now assume that either there were no Winchesters at the Cody show or the ones that were there and were purchased are not considered worth posting on the WACA site. Come on, let’s see what you picked up! I’d like to see some “new” Winchesters. 😛 Oh, by the way nice MARLIN.

Gene,
I did pick up a few nice 1894’s but you will have to wait for pics as I need to head out of town for work. I will post some pics when I get some time. Until then, enjoy all the off breed specimens, which are some darn nice looking guns, even if they don’t start with a W.
Stay Tuned,

I did pick one up that I’ve chasing for a long time, it is one of the best example model 1878 known and 1 out of 12 deluxe’s, it made my year++ 😀 and it also doesn’t start with a W. I should have a better picture, but our house flooded while we where in Cody and my official winchester picture taking table was destroyed (aka pool table) the little water line to the fridge was the culprit

That looks like a beauty and it doesn’t need to start with a W, since that’s what it turned into years later. I thought I heard some conversation about that gun in passing by your table. I guess I should have spoke up and ask for a peek at it. Wasn’t there only 500 or so of the Browning single shots made in total before Winchester got the patent?
What caliber is that one? I hope we get to see more pics when you get a chance, it sure looks like nice condition.

NICE! That one looks similar to the one I saw at the Browning museum in Ogden on Friday.
