.22 -- 25-20 |General Discussions & Questions|Forum|Winchester Collector

I just bought a box of 25-20 Winchester ammo at a local gun shop. When I got them home and opened them, they were reloads. They were 25-20s, but necked down and loaded with .22 caliber 40 grain jacketed bullets. I can’t find any info on a .22-25-20. Anyone heard of a 25-20 rifle converted to .22 using 25-20 ammo necked down to .22?
