I have several in the 86 calibers, never paid more than $200. If it’s minty, maybe rare because of condition, most are beat. I had one in 50-110 with the box, not much condition and it only brought $350. Loading tools like guns, it’s about condition. T/R

I had one in .50-110, also in the box.  It was in as new condition with all accessories, sold it two years ago for $3000.00.  1891 tools are very desirable, but as TR mentioned, condition  is  everything.  I have a few 1891 tools right now, that I  want to sell.

Win 4575,

I am interested in buying a 1891 reloading tool in “45 Gov and or the 45 Gov-500”. If you have either of these for sale please contact me at [email protected]. Thank you

I’d put the scarcity of the 1891 in about the middle of the other tools produced by Winchester in 45 Gov.

List below is from most to least abundant.

1894 Tool

1880 Tool (4th Type w/ Berdan Chisel)

1880 Tool (2nd Type w/out Berdan Chisel)

1891 Tool

1888 Tool

1880 Tool (Spoon Handles)

1875 Tool

I’ve bought them as lows as $20 to $150, and it would have to be high condition to be at $200. But adding an original box does change things.

Sincerely,

Maverick

That sounds like a very, “collectible” tool.

OK thanks for the info fellas. I’ve never had a ’91 loading tool and really never needed one.
