Looking for information about proof marks on a 22” 50 Cal. 1876 Winchester round barrel . From what I can tell the proof marks are from the London Proof house . There is a # 38 in with the proof stampings . Can anyone identify what the number 38 stands for ? Sorry can’t seem to post pics from my phone .

Thanks for posting the picture for me 1873man and sorry for the poor picture quality . From what I have read the top stamp is London bp proof . The other two may be Nitro proof and semi smokeless proof marks ? As for the 38 I have no idea .
