I recently acquired an 1866 Second Model receiver (only).
it is well worn, but serviceable.
it appears the Barrel Threads or buggered a little bit.
A 73 barrel will thread in about have way and then it gets tight.
Does anyone know the tap size for a 1866?
Or, or this strictly a job for a gunsmith/ machinist?
Thank you for any advice you can offer.
