OfflineFive weeks from now many of us will be on the way to Cody, getting ready to head out or wishing we could go. Quite honestly I’ve lost track of who to look for at the Cody show so please reply Going, Not Going, or Need Gas Money. I may need to round up my camping gear.

OfflineI’ve been counting down the days and my van is already loaded! I arrive on Tuesday night… just in time to wonder the museum on Wednesday and enjoy great BBQ at Fat Rack’s that evening with old friends and maybe some new ones too! 🙂 Even the newly retired guy pictured below will be there!

OfflineGoing, but it wouldn’t hurt if I had some donations for the fuel bill (#2 Diesel)… I promise I will keep the cruise set at 75 mph so that I can maintain 19+ mpg. I am planning to hit the road on Tuesday morning, spending the night in Bozeman, then on into Cody by about High Noon.

OfflineBen-
Our friend in the picture has a bit shorter countdown on his mind and he has my sincere best wishes on his impending retirement. I can’t offer him any helpful advice as quite frankly I suck at retirement.
Bert-
I feel your pain as my little Kubota sips that semiprecious liquid you will require to reach the place we love. I’ll be firing up that Kubota tomorrow, I hope her tank is full! If you survey the parking lot closely you’ll see one less red Cummins powered Dodge. May want to study on that a bit.
All kidding aside; make those room reservations, raise those credit card limits and dig up those mad money coffee cans behind the veggie garden. Above all, be safe. I’m looking forward to seeing you and shaking your hand.

OfflineRick, I’ll miss not seeing you across from us.
I am leaving Tuesday and hope to get there mid day on Wednesday. Reservations made in Cody. Just need to figure out where to stay the nights coming and going.
Mike, a 55 gallon drum of regular would go a long way for me. It would at least get me home.

Hey Bert… I’m donating for your “gas” (my treat at the BBQ place)…

Thanks… I truly appreciate it!
FYI, my last fill up was just a mere $207
and I am anticipating $625 in fuel for the round trip to Cody this year.

OfflineBeth and I will be there on Saturday to attend the show and the banquet. Just completed the 3200 mile drive to Houston and back for the NRA show at the end of April so I feel the pain of traveling with high fuel prices! Fortunately Cody is only an hour drive from our cabin in Red Lodge. If anyone is still looking for a free place to stay, our guest cabin can accomodate several people. One king bed and two twin beds with a reloading room in the back!
