SOLD!
Helping friend sell a gun he inherited. His wife says no guns in House. What’s up with that!
Winchester Model 1873 32 wcf, made in 1887. Octagon barrel. Serial number 230126B
It cycles hard so I think it needs some work, I think the carrier hangs up on dust cover. Otherwise looks good and clean. Bore is Good.
Forearm wood repaired and rear stock has 4 notches carved in stock. 24 inch barrel/cresent butt.
$1300 obo.

Nice old antique for that price…biting my tongue on the wife part…Me too! If he had picked the right woman she never would have asked a man to get rid of his guns, ESPECIALLY if it was inherited!! But yes, good price.
Yep, that would certainly render moot ‘until death do us part’ bit.

If only those old guns could talk…they might say “no wife in the house.”
Before we were married, the first big gift I bought my to-be wife was a rifle–and she had come from Long Island NY–from a home with an aversion to guns. She accepted the gift, and the marriage stuck.
I can’t imagine having no guns at home. Without them, there isn’t enough Calamine Lotion made to satisfy the itch that would plague my trigger-finger!
How is it possible to make it through a couple weeks without a sniff of gun smoke?
