Offering up this scarce example of a factory drilled/tapped for scope mount/blocks semi-deluxe Model 94 in .25-35 produced in 1925
My understanding is that the Winchester Model A5 scope with offset rings would have been correct for this one.
The wood and metal condition are excellent as and the bore has strong rifling and good shine. The receiver shows some blue loss flecking in areas as seen.
Although not shown in the photos, the original scope mount blocks will be shipped with the gun to the new owner.
There is a link below that will take you to a photo album on a hosted site. Otherwise you can PM me with your email address and I will send you the link directly.
My asking price is $4,000 plus actual shipping costs to your C&R or FFL on this fine Winchester
Sorry, no CA sales and shipping to lower 48 only. Payment: I prefer friends/family PayPal, Bank transfer by ZELLE or USPS Money Orders unless other payment arrangements are made prior to you committing to purchase.
NOTE: Your FFL must receive from a private party with copy of my drivers license as I am unable to find a local FFL that will ship.
If you have questions please send me a PM with your contact information and we can continue the conversation by email or phone.
The first “I’ll Take It” followed up with a PM containing your contact info gets this one.

And why won’t you ship to Ca.??? It has to go FFL to FFL that’s all it takes. Take it to Reatta Pass and have her send it if you don’t have a FFL. There is one form that has to be filled out before shipment. It take a few minutes to fill out. Then you email it to the address shown. Once they verify both parties are FFL holders they will email you back a number that needs to go with the paperwork. This works for all long guns. Only pistols on the Ca. drop list can be sent.

If GiGi at Reatta Pass is willing to do all the leg work and the buyer pays all fees involved then I would consider shipping to CA……but this would all need to be worked out in advance between the buyer and Reatta Pass……I do not have the time for a new project.
There is nothing “Easy” about shipping guns to CA as you are aware.
If you are that buyer let me know…..thank you sir.

I have never seen one of these so please forgive my ignorance. Absent a factory letter for documentation because the gun is too late, is the assumption the 4 screw holes in the barrel are factory because of the offset proof mark? If the gun left the factory with a mounted scope or drilled/tapped for one, would Winchester also fit the gun with the normal sights as is this gun which has front, rear and tang sight?

The location of the proof is the best evidence. If offset mounts were ordered for the scope, all the other sights could be used normally with the scope mounted, & I think most buyers would have wanted these sights on the gun if the scope was put out of action.

I shipped a handgun to a CA FFL directly without filling out that form, & I’m not a FFL. No attempt by CA to extradite me so far.

There is no leg work. The shipping FFL goes online and fills out the form then emails it. When the state returns the email just send a copy of the completed form with the gun. So, I assume, you can’t send the gun yourself and someone would have to pay Gigi to send the gun? Then all of the leg work is just getting the gun to her?
There is nothing real hard about sending a gun to California. Unless it is a pistol that is not on the CA. drop list. Antiques of all types go straight to my house.

Thanks Clarence – makes sense – its a nice gun.

I’m not sure when this law went into effect. I rarely buy modern guns and have them shipped. But, this is the current law.
Actually, Chuck, the law was in effect & the CA dealer sent me the red tape I was supposed to comply with; I just ignored it, on the grounds that CA can’t impose its idiot laws on non-CA residents. I thought the CA dealer might squawk, but he didn’t.

If someone here lives in CA and is interested in this rifle I am willing to work with them. Will give this a few more days here then offer it elsewhere……but I sure would like to see someone in the WACA end up with it!!
If Chuck buys it, I’ll sell him a Winchester scope for only slightly more than its worth.

THREEDFLYER is an honest individual and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from him, and have purchased from him in the past. He has a great eye!
My problem is not with his guns, just the attitude of not wanting to sell to Ca. We have enough problems and don’t need more from “fellow” gun guys.
Clarence, you know I’m not a modern gun guy. Maybe if he has some nice antiques.
Gentlemen,
Thank you for you input…..and your opinions concerning my listing.
I have had several bad experiences shipping to California and since I am the seller I posted my terms for shipping as lower 48 and NO California for that reason.
I am a working stiff and do not have time to chase around an FFL that will ship for me. It’s very convenient for me to box up at my home and ship direct to a buyer with copy of my drivers license.
If you are offended by this that is unfortunate…..
So unless you are a buyer I would sure appreciate if we can focus on the gun that I am offering up for sale and less about bashing me for not wanting to ship to California.
Much appreciated,
Tom
