I have for sale a Winchester 1876, in 45-75 cal, s/n 1286 with Cody letter. It has a 28in octagon barrel, set trigger, ladder rear sight, oval thumbprint mortice cover and 5 piece cleaning rod set. The action is tight and everything operates perfectly. Bluing is original at 85% plus with no pitting anywhere. The bore is bright with great rifling. The great wood finish is also original with a few slight handling marks, and unfortunately, a sling swivel attached to the butt, which I’ve been told can be removed and easily repaired. Bert H has the pictures and said it is in “exceptionally nice condition”. I tried to upgrade my membership so I can upload pictures, but I’m having issues. If you are interested e-mail me and I will send pictures. It has a approximant auction value of $16k -$18k, which would be reduced because of the sling mount. I would rather sell it without going to auction.
