I have over 100 factory Win 22 magazines. Most variations, single shot, 5 & 10 round. Three & four line base. 2 and 3 rib. 22 lr marked follower. Unfortunately, no .22 short marked followers or 10 round 69 marked at this time. Priced $60. & up. I also have the Wisner built mags.. 2 for $50. shipped.

Perfect! I will get back to you when I have a purchased rifle in my hands….I almost wrote to you directly instead of posting….should’ve gone with my gut! Thanks Ben.
I’m soon to be in possession of a model 59 and 69A…I thought the 69A was missing its mag but it may well be with it and just looked flush in the pics. I will report back eventually when I have them in my hands. May still need to get a coupe different ones since there were some variations it seems….5 round, 10 round, single shot adaptor….not much info on these but I found a Houze 22 book on Ebay for $40 and scored it yesterday.

If you want the latest and correct information on the model 69, get the book at our on line shop. It has more info than any other source.

Vince,
Thanks for the book plug! JeremyP already has Model 69 book #635 but it only contains the pertinent information for the magazines specific to the Model 69/69A.
Here is my spreadsheet for ALL of the .22 rimfire magazines compatible with the model 52/56/57/69/75 and their appropriate markings and timelines. I posted this over on RimfireCentral about 15 years ago.
I took certain liberties as you will note;
– Late 52B’s and 52C’s were supplied with a solid body SS adapter while concurrently the sheet metal adaptor was available as an extra so I lumped the 69/75 into the sheet metal SS usage since they did not normally come with a SS adapter except for the 69A Match and Target.
– The 69 magazines produced from 1935-circa 1945 should have been specifically marked for the 69 however since I have seen some NIB 69’s of that era with 52 style magazine floorplate markings (no “69”) I added the 69 to both columns.
– I grouped the rifles by vintage, NOT by sub-model (A,B,C, Target, Sporter etc.) since there is some overlap of production. Basically, if the rifle was produced within the date window it should have the magazine indicated in most cases, regardless of variation or sub-model. To avoid confusion I purposely omitted the sub-model designations from the Winchester model number on the list.
Also, you will note that the Model 69 was chambered for .22 Short, Long and Long Rifle and the magazines formerly dedicated to .22 Long Rifle were also used for the .22 Long commencing with the production of the Model 69 in 1935. All other models continued to utilize the .22 Long Rifle magazine for .22 LR only.
And a final note, the magazines detailed below are functionally interchangeable with ALL of the rifle models listed. The primary purpose of the matrix is to match the correct era and type of magazine to a rifle as originally supplied from Winchester.

Jeremy, you are correct, there is not much published on the Model 59 (rimfire) but there are a few variations and 2 distinctly separate model variations (a standard sporting model and a target). It was only made 1 year and all should have a ’30 barrel date (if dated). There is a bit of info not covered in Houze’s book so let me know if you have any specific questions. Good score on Houze’s single shot book, $40 was a decent price, they typically sell in the $60-$70 range unless in bad condition.

I really like those magazine spreadsheets, Jeff. I had no idea there were so many variations. Would it be OK if I print those to put in my reference library?
You missed a great TGCA show, Jeremy. Not much in the way of sales but the displays were awesome as usual. Gotta be tough to focus on your classes with new toys and books waiting at home but now you know why I and others have told you what an awesome opportunity it is.

Hi Mike,
Of course! I would not have posted them in the public domain if I wanted them kept secret I can email the pages to you in .pdf format with better resolution also if you prefer?
Sorry I missed another TGCA show, I have been a member for years and have yet to make it to a show. It is on my list for next year.

Yes, the elusive M59. I had 4 of them but gave a couple away. I know you probably have a few, but I thought I might post a picture of the hard to find target model. Big Larry

Yes, they are EXTREMELY hard to find, I only have 4 of the 59 Target versions and that is after searching for 40+ years. The standard 59 sporting rifles are fairly common, there were over 9,000 of them made.
Larry, I have to run up to Cody later in November/early December and promise to drop off some donuts on the way 😉

Once I have it I’ll take it apart and check for the date, need to check for any rust cancers hiding in there. Yes the book was a “make an offer” on a $60 list and they accepted $40! I’ll take it!

The last donuts you brought were simply amazing. I have a couple items for you that I promised. No new rifles, been giving them away to family members, but I did buy a Colt Grizzly. Saw one in the American Rifleman and had to have one. Big Larry
