I’ve had my eye on this rifle for years now and would love to find one. It seems like it started out as a Shot Show special but I haven’t been able to find out if it was actually made for regular production. A friend who has an FFL said she found it at a distributor earlier in the year and I decided it would be my deployment present to myself when I get home, but now it seems the single one that was in stock was picked up and we can’t find one anywhere. Specifically looking for the 16″ carbine in .45LC. If anyone knows of any other side loading, .45LC carbines with color case hardening I would also love to hear it but as far as I can tell this is the only newish option out there I can find that has everything I want.
I highly recommend that you contact the Browning Arms Company Customer Service and inquire with them. To the best of my knowledge, all of the Model 1892s that have been manufactured in the past 20+ years were made in Japan (Miroku) under license to the BACO.
