Hi all,

I have an as new in box Winchester 9410 with a case colored receiver and walnut checkered stock. The box is marked as 1 of 500 but there was a tag inside that suggested only 350 were made. I am looking for good information on value and any offer for purchase. As far as I know, it has not been fired. Cabela’s was interested in buying it, but they give you a serious run around on offers. I am sorry I don’t have much other information. Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks very much.

John,

More than likely not… most of us are “pre-1964” Winchester collectors.

Thanks Bert! Not being a Winchester collector I was unsure of where to look for interest in this firearm. I appreciate the reply and the information. I have been reluctant to try an auction site, but I am guessing that is my best option.

Best regards,

JM

Cabela’s won’t make an offer until they see it in person. Keep in mind that they will only make an offer that will allow them to make a significant profit.

John M,

I can’t help with answering your questions but I have a few for you. I’ve been accumulating some material on the 9422/9417/9410 family. So far, I have noted one other case-colored 9410 (out of 31 total). It was serial number TX00032 and was described as being “1 of 150”. It may have been part of a special edition sponsored by CDNN but I am not sure of that. All but one of the others had a “SG00000” style serial number with the other exception being a “NWTF” special edition. Would you mind contributing some configuration details?

Stock: traditional (Straight) or Legacy (pistol-grip)?

Safety: cross-bolt or tang?

Barrel length: 20″ Packer or 24″ Standard?

Serial number: Is it a “TX00000” or “SG00000”?

Does it have the Invector choke system?

Thanks,

Hi 3Dub,

Thanks for helping out. I really appreciate it. This particular 9410 seems to have a walnut checkered straight stock, tang safety, 24″ barrel with an SG serial number. I saw no extra chokes or choke tools in the box. It also says Spcl Ed 1-500. I am trying not to handle it too much in case it has some collectible value.

The market on 9410s seems all over the place, so making any kind of determination is very tough for a Winchester neophyte such as myself. I would appreciate any insight you could provide.

Thanks!

JM
