Found an online auction with 12 Winchester 94s in it – so I’m thinking one might go more affordable. The one is chambered in 32 WS and right now it is way higher than all the others. Is it because they didn’t make as many of those?
I’d say give us a link, but I know why you might not You’re pretty safe to share though if they’re newer models!
There’s probably something about it driving up the interest, but I don’t think that caliber itself would drive the interest. See this thread for more: https://winchestercollector.org/forum/winchester-rifles/winchester-model-94-caliber-rarity/
Is it older?
I’d probably be smarter to not share the link, but I hate when guys talk about something and don’t share so I guess I won’t be that guy
The auctions here: https://bid.enlistedauctions.com/ui/auctions/116198
The serial is: 1567095 so I don’t think it’s that old.
Thanks for the thread!

Not necessarily. There are several other reasons why it could be bid up to a higher price… but without any details about it (or the other Model 94s), it is not possible to postulate the specific reason someone has bid it up higher than the other guns.

The person(s) who have bid on that gun up are apparently not knowledgeable collectors. The Lyman No. 66A receiver sight is not factory original, and somebody drilled & tapped (2) extra holes in the receiver frame to mount it. That stated, the current $660 bid is not an unreasonable price to pay for it.
