Tom:
I have five (5) pre-war Model 71s including a 450 Alaskan and 450 Fuller- on early M-71s.
Have some stocks, but they are questionable as to being original factory versions. Wood is getting as scarce and as pricey as the original Win 98a bolt peeps.

Thanks, and yes the wood is very hard to find.
I may end up having a custom replacement set made up by a local stock builder.
My goal is to avoid using the stocks that are on the gun because the butt stock has been repaired at some point, and I would not mind putting them aside and using the replacements for field use.
My stocks were custom carved with this leave pattern many years ago. Although the carving is gorgeous, I don’t want the stocks to become more damaged.
I suppose I might be able to repair them better than they have been repaired.
As for the 98a sight, I spent $500 recently on a replacement original sight for this one…..but it was worth it!!
