I’ve bought the Brownells blank for a high wall I have that letters with a Mid-range Vernier. I was disappointed as it sat well above the barrel. I could almost slide a credit card underneath the points. My good friend, Brad D. was kind enough to give me one he had hoarded away and it tuned out very nice. I believe a large number of the fancy blanks you see out there are actually home-made from another sight. Quite often, you can see that one end doesn’t quite match the other. Either way, they still look nice on a gun with a tang or receiver sight, especially if the guns letters as such.
